We know hyaluronic acid as the ingredient responsible for hydrating and temporarily plumping up the skin to lessen the appearance of superfine lines—but did you know that it could benefit your hair as well? Hyaluronic acid is a substance found naturally in your body although it can also be made synthetically. As a humectant, it can retain moisture and bind approximately 1000 times its weight in water. Hyaluronic acid production in the body dramatically decreases as we age, causing many skin and scalp issues such as dryness, dandruff, wrinkles, etc. As a humectant, hyaluronic acid hydrates the hair and scalp and reduces frizziness. Humectant molecules attract and bind moisture to the skin, allowing collagen to thrive in the skin and scalp. Dry, damaged hair does not easily retain water, but hyaluronic acid helps to fill in the cracks of the porous hair shaft and moisturize. All hair types and textures could benefit from using any hyaluronic acid-based products on their hair fibers. This ingredient’s ability to bind to moisture helps hair retain the proper balance of lipids, humectants, and proteins required for hair strength and elasticity. This is especially great for dry, frizzy, and damaged hair types.
Pro-Vitamin B5
Also called DL-Panthenol, Pro-Vitamin B5 is a super star nutrient for your hair and also great at deterring brassy tones in all hair colors and types! A boost of VITAMIN B5 adds the nutrition needed for healthy and vibrant hair growth while it helps to repair damages caused by heat appliances and chemicals. The benefits of PRO-VITAMIN B5 include optimum moisture balance, as it vitalizes and nourishes thinning hair, also assisting to increase strength and reduce breakages.
Helps to form the building blocks of your hair, giving your scalp and hair what it needs to strengthen the sulfide bonds and produce more growth.
Our collagen protein peptides are from pasture-raised and grass-fed bovine. Collagen also helps to form the building blocks of your hair while drawing moisture to your hair as a natural humectant, giving your scalp and hair what it needs to strengthen the bonds and grow faster.
Silk protein peptides strengthen and yet smooth hair bonds: silk is one of the strongest (yet softest) substances in the world and is a perfect addition to your haircare routine. Our real, natural silk comes from cruelty-free silk moth cocoons: the cocoons are harvested after the moths mature and leave the empty cocoon behind.
Our Magnesium Chloride is naturally derived from the waters of the ancient Zechstein Sea. Magnesium helps to stimulate hair growth and feeds the body a nutrient that is essential for over 300 health-optimizing functions, which includes maximizing hair health. Magnesium used to be abundantly available to humans through external exposure to the natural elements and rich soils, both of which are sorely lacking in modern day societies. Magnesium is essential in helping your body create protein, which helps with hair growth. Magnesium regulates calcium movement and buildup: Calcium deposits in the hair follicles can cause hair loss, and magnesium oil dissolves the calcium deposits and buildup that can occur due to hard water.
Freshwater Pearl
This extremely fine freshwater pearl powder makes it easy for the scalp and hair to utilize. Pearl powder contains a complex protein called conchiolin which promotes healthy collagen production and has similar effects to keratin, which is one of the proteins found in skin and hair that is able to improve hydration, speed up cell metabolism, increase circulation and repair damaged cells. Also, the high content of after calcium signal proteins in pearls consists of active enzymes and hormones. These naturally occurring nutrients promote healing in your scalp and can dramatically slow or even reverse visual signals of aging in your skin. This is why pearl powder was used by the rulers of China for thousands of years to maintain firm, plump, youthful skin.

Pasture-Raised, Pure, Hand-Rendered USA Lard feeds your hair and skin extra-nourishing balanced fatty acids and the world’s highest Vitamin D3 content, second only to cod liver oil. Lard has been used in haircare since medieval times for hair growth and hair health management. Our lard is carefully hand-rendered to keep its precious rare nutrients in-tact.
Lard is the 2nd fat in the world that is highest is Vitamin D3, second only to cod liver oil! Vitamin D3 is the most bioavailable form of Vitamin D. Vitamin D delivers a myriad of health benefits, including supporting healthy, long hair. As it turns out, Vitamin D3 is involved in various signaling pathways in the hair follicle and has a direct (and critical) role in the hair growth (aka anagen) phase. Topical application of vitamin D3 has been shown to render protection against damage caused to the skin by UV light. Vitamin D reduces cell death, promotes cell survival, and reduces redness and inflammation.
Since pasture-raised lard is lighter and softer in texture, slightly higher in unsaturated fatty acids, and higher in certain nutrients like Vitamin D3 – it makes a perfect fat base in our shampoo soaps, conditioners, and hair oils.
Pasture-Raised, properly fed lard is low on the comedogenic scale: it will not clog pores nor cause inflammation, in fact it may help with those issues. Since it is slightly higher in unsaturated fatty acids, it provides a more bubbly lather and a squeakier clean.
Our Lard is:
-
Slowly and carefully hand-rendered in our facility from the farm-fresh raw source
-
NEVER bleached or ultra-processed for a “white look”
-
