I’ve been a hairstylist for 10 years and this is hands-down the best shampoo, and I tried every “professional” brand. I have coarser, thick, frizzy hair cut into a pixie. I used many products to tame the frizz and hydrate my hair including oils, serums, and masks as a daily conditioner. After just the first couple of uses, I no longer use any products on my hair. I just wash, a small amount of Perma Earth conditioner, and blow dry. I also only need to wash maybe twice a week now, too. It’s perfectly hydrating — not so much that it weighs down, but pre-conditions my hair where I don’t need a bucket of conditioner. Also, there is no weird smell, for those curious. Highly recommend!

I’ve been using Perma Earth’s shampoo bars for about 8 months and I am never going back to conventional shampoo again. It is a bit of a process learning how to scrub bar soap on your scalp, especially when your hair is super thick and it’s hard to dig down to the roots. But I figured it out after about 4 tries, and now my hair feels great! I can go several days longer between washes, and my formerly persistent dandruff has totally cleared up. There’s no dryness at all since my hair isn’t getting stripped of healthy oils. I like that the buttercream soap is free of extra fragrances, and I appreciate the price point as someone who goes through a lot of soap per wash.

In my search for a clean shampoo I came across this brand, and all I can say is I’M NEVER GOING BACK!!!! You should definitely give it a try, I used to struggle with super oily hair, dry scalp and hair loss specially postpartum and it’s amazing how much my overall hair and scalp health has improved. Even from the first wash my hair felt very clean and it was as if my hair and scalp said thank you…. I’ve been using them for over a month now and I’ve even noticed that my hair loss has decreased a lot. I love how the team is always very caring and attentive to every detail. This bar was in my first perma earth order over a year ago and it’s one I will buy again and again! The first handful of washes when switching to bar soap were done with this bar and I had great results! Pretty amazing to see your hair detoxing from years of regular shampoo use, even if it’s a more natural based one. This bar has a great lather and really gets your hair squeaky clean! Now a days I use the ultimate unscented as my go to but I always have this for my husband who uses it for shaving. He always gets smooth and razor burn free results with this soap!

The best shampoo for scalp/hair health I have ever used. I started using Perma Earth June of 2023 and I haven’t looked back. I have fine straight hair that gets oily quickly and was dealing with it falling out due to stress. This shampoo (along with reducing my stress lol) has completely transformed my scalp and hair. Absolutely love this product. I had been searching for a natural shampoo for a long time. At one point I had gone 2 months washing my hair with water only. Even tried washing with egg yolk for a few months. Gave my hair a weird texture. Finally I found this product! Luckily I didn’t have to go through a detox phase. Absolutely amazing though. I love this product! The best and OG product. I’d definitely start here then go to other scents once you’ve detoxed. Which does take awhile but it’s worth it, my hair is full and shined after 2 months. my family and I will never go back! It’s even gentle enough to use on my toddler.

My fiance and I are loving the products we ordered! The buttermilk and tallow shampoo/body/shave bar has been amazing for his hair and body! His beard and the skin underneath would be so itchy and flakey and after using that product, even just for a DAY, it was already so much better! My husband and I started using these bars after trying various “non toxic” shampoos, and then trying the “no poo” method for a while. We love using these bars because the ingredients are clean and nourishing and leave our hair silky soft after a washing. I was surprised at how nice my hair felt after washing it- I definitely wasn’t expecting the softness. The bars lather really well and get nice and sudsy as you massage with water into the hair and they also last longer than I would expect!

It took a few weeks for my hair to adjust to this shampoo, but after that phase, this shampoo is the best thing to happen to my hair. My scalp is not itchy, and I no longer have to wash it everyday. It stays nice and clean for days with no residue. I have tried other perma earth shampoos, and this is by far the best one.

I use this shampoo bar on my son. While it’s technically not scented, it definitely does have a smell of its own, but I find it very mild and pleasant to the nose. It makes his hair so soft and it doesn’t need washing as frequently as it did when I was using his old baby shampoo. I plan to use this on my newborn when he arrives too. 🙂

I love the simple, natural ingredients in this product and it also works so well! I e tried other store brand “natural” hair products and they aquas left my hair super dry, frizzy, etc. I definitely had to go through the detox process when starting this shampoo but once my hair transitioned it’s been fabulous. I also bought a conditioner but barely use it, just occasionally one swipe on my hair if it seems a bit dry, but this shampoo suffices to hydrate and clean almost every wash!
