1 Ingredient: Saponified Pasture-Raised Local Lard (0% Super-Fat)
- Cuts grease and dirt much better than our regular body/hair soaps!
- NOT moisturizing for the skin, please use our Lather of Lard soap instead for skin.
- Great for hand-washing laundry and dishes as-is in solid form, or create your own liquid or powder formula to use in washing machines (see examples below).
DIY Washing Powder Recipe
Grate 2 bars of soap and mix well with powders below:

2 cups sodium carbonate (washing soda)

2 cups sodium bicarbonate (baking soda)

2 cups sodium tetraborate (borax)
Add your choice of scent in the amount desired and mix well.
Use the same as regular powdered detergents – store in an airtight container.
DIY Washing Liquid Recipe
Dissolve 2 bars of grated soap into 4 cups of boiling water, then combine with the dry powder mix below:

1 cup sodium borate

1 cup sodium carbonate

1 cup sodium percarbonate
Add 2 gallons of hot water and mix until dissolved completely
Pour into a 5 gallon bucket with matching lid and top off with hot water, wait 24 hours until use. Stir occasionally when needed.
Add your choice of scent in the amount desired and mix in well.
Use the same as regular detergents.

Store in a room-temperature, dry place out of direct sunlight.
We recommend using within 1 year of first use for best results, as scents and contents fade and break down faster over time once disturbed.
NO SCENT OF ANY KIND WAS ADDED AS AN INGREDIENT TO THIS PRODUCT!
However, this product was made in our one and only facility where we manufacture all of our products (scented and unscented). Therefore, atmospheric scent may or may not transfer over at a detectable level to any unscented product.
We take every precaution possible to reduce surface-level atmospheric scent transfers by:
- Using extra manufacturing tools ONLY for unscented products.
- Our “unscented” manufacturing tools are stored in completely separate containers.
- Cleaning and sanitizing ALL manufacturing tools and surfaces between each batch.
- NEVER letting our unscented products touch our scented products (either directly or indirectly)!
Please keep in mind that our shipping supplies are stored in our same small business facility where we make scented products, so they may have an atmospheric scent transfer.
If any atmospheric scent is detected by sensitive buyers, we recommend to allow the atmospheric scent transfer to dissipate:
- Remove the unscented products from all shipping materials and any materials around the product.
- Let the unscented product sit out naked (for a few days to a few weeks) in a dry atmosphere devoid of any scent with good air flow.
- Once you start using the unscented product, even the most sensitive users may not notice the surface-level atmospheric scent transfer disappears.
