A soap dish significantly extends the life of a bar of soap – but did you know that you can also extend the life of your soap dish?
These dishes can last 8 months to a year… or much longer if you follow these instructions!
- Use your soap dishes in pairs to extend the life of the dish – use one dish for 2-3 weeks (until your soap is used up) and then wipe it clean with a damp cloth and set aside to allow a full drying period. Use the second dish for 2-3 weeks while the first dish is drying out.
- Alternate which side is used to hold the soap between drying periods.
- Alternating wooden soap dishes this way will prevent water-logging, rotting, and mold or mildew from developing and growing on your dish to greatly extend the life of the dish.
- We have already applied our own beeswax and olive oil waterproof finish to extend the time between use and drying (3-4 weeks or between the life of each soap), but this will fade over time as the soap cleans it, and faster with heavy use. Reapply with one of our tallow and beeswax butter balms!

I loved it so much, I’m getting more for every sink and show in my house. This is part of my de-plastic-ing my home and am very pleased that they only use beeswax and olive oil to seal the wood. It’s easy to clean, looks beautiful, and isn’t warping, expanding, or anything in my shower. I’ve had this for 6 months now.

Once I started using the bar soaps, I knew I needed a way to store them in the shower without them sticking to the tile. Of course I had to support Perma Earth and buy one of these! I love it. It holds 2 soaps. I also bought one for my significant other too. @melsical

I love these little wooden soap dishes! They are aesthetically pleasing to the eye and they do what they’re made to do: keep your soap bar dry and lasting longer. I bought two, as recommended to swap out.

Love the way it looks with my soaps on it. I need to buy me some more to keep all my bars on holders. I like to use different scents so im going to be purchasing 1 every order until I have enough for every bar!!!

Absolutely love that they’re made in the US and solid wood. Beautifully made and serve their purpose well. Had them for a while now and no sign of any molding or issues despite (obviously) damp conditions of bathroom. They fit about two bars of product each, so I keep two in the shower; one for hair bars (shampoo and conditioner) and one for my face wash bar.

I like this soap dish a lot (and my dog does too haha) I opened the package and left it in my room and my dog took it and chewed the corners off. My guess is he liked the wood since it was finished in olive oil and beeswax. I sanded the dog bites out and added a layer of olive oil. Its been lasting really well in the shower and drying quickly. I will probably touch it up with some oil again in the future to help it last longer.

I recently moved and my new shower just has a shelf, the soap was getting all gross just sitting there. This really helps it dry well and last longer! It has kept up well being in the shower that gets used by 3 people.
