However, this product was made in our one and only facility where we manufacture all of our products (scented and unscented). Therefore, atmospheric scent may or may not transfer over at a detectable level to any unscented product.
We take every precaution possible to reduce surface-level atmospheric scent transfers by:
- Using extra manufacturing tools ONLY for unscented products.
- Our “unscented” manufacturing tools are stored in completely separate containers.
- Cleaning and sanitizing ALL manufacturing tools and surfaces between each batch.
- NEVER letting our unscented products touch our scented products (either directly or indirectly)!
Please keep in mind that our shipping supplies are stored in our same small business facility where we make scented products, so they may have an atmospheric scent transfer.
If any atmospheric scent is detected by sensitive buyers, we recommend to allow the atmospheric scent transfer to dissipate:
- Remove the unscented products from all shipping materials and any materials around the product.
- Let the unscented product sit out naked (for a few days to a few weeks) in a dry atmosphere devoid of any scent with good air flow.
- Once you start using the unscented product, even the most sensitive users may not notice the surface-level atmospheric scent transfer disappears.
Why does tallow bead sometimes?
We can compare farm-fresh grass-fed tallow to natural raw honey in this instance. Like raw natural honey that crystallizes, farm-fresh suet tallow can develop hard beads of tallow over time… We don’t make it with these lumps of love! Tallow beads take more work to melt on the skin when rubbed in. Beading occurs randomly and inconsistently; we can’t predict or prevent natural beading. If you want to re-melt your product to dissolve the beads, remove the product from the container. Gently and slowly re-heat the tallow until melted, then turn off the heat. Re-whip or stir the tallow while cooling, then put it back in the container. We appreciate the integrity of our natural ingredients made in small batches!
Why does tallow smell / look / feel different sometimes?
We can compare tallow to raw honey in this instance as well. Raw natural honey can have a different taste, color, or texture due to different locations and seasons of the harvest. Farm-fresh tallow can also have a different smell, color, and texture due to different seasons or cows. Even from the same farmer and location. These are due to factors out of our control. These factors include: foraging diet, age, genetics, environment, and how the animal is butchered. We appreciate the integrity of our natural ingredients made in small batches!

This product’s active ingredients can cause temporary skin flushing (redness caused by increased circulation stimulated on the top layer of skin). This is only a temporary effect and the skin will adjust to the application, and with consistent use over time the flushing reaction should reduce. The redness should be minimal and only last minutes. If your redness lasts longer than an hour, stop use, wash off product well, and contact your health provider if necessary.

Spread a minimal amount of tallow onto the skin using clean, dry hands.
Apply more tallow as needed.

Recommended to use on any skin type that needs moisturization and anti-aging effects. Best used at least twice daily upon waking in the morning and at night before bed, reapplying throughout the day as needed. If the application is rubbed or wiped off, a reapplication will be necessary to reap the benefits of continuous use. Always apply to a naked face before makeup or any other application.

For the most part I have enjoyed using this, but more so than the other products it seems to be affected by oxidation more quickly. The cream is pretty heavy for my tastes, and for my purpose makes a better once a week overnight mask or treatment. It feels thicker and it tends to linger on my skin, I have taken to using it before bed or on really windy days, as well as on my heels and top of my hands in winter. Still a nice product, but once the jar is gone I’d rather try something else.

LOVE this cream for around my eyes and forehead. When I use it I feel so refreshed and it feels like it almost instantly tightens my skin. Due to the container size being so small I try to use it sparingly around my eyes and forehead, sometimes on smile lines. Due to using it sparingly I have been able to make it last. Over time the cream will become darker but it doesn’t change the consistency and it still works just as well. Highly recommend.

I liked the creamy texture of this tallow, it was somehow way softer than other tallows I have tried. The small 1oz jar is exceptional for minimalist travel/storage. I tried it up against my all-time fave, the Blue Tansy Whipped Tallow from Perma Earth. The pearl felt somehow more luxurious on my skin (maybe even plumping?), though I was a bit surprised this product “went” earlier than others I have tried. A little goes a long way and on about month 4 in a room climate controlled between 67-71 degrees it began to “turn” so I had to hurry to use it up. It’s still a great option to give your skin a TLC refresh. If I purchase again I would keep in the refrigerator.

Hi Margot! This product oxidizes faster than others (hence the amber glass), so refrigeration won’t affect this fact. Therefore for freshest results, we recommend to use it all up within 3 months of the first use when you break that top seal and disturb the contents. It is a very small amount, so it should be used well within 3 months if used 1-2 times daily! However, if it starts to turn colors or the smell becomes sweeter, that is the oxidation happening, but the contents are still fine to use before the best by date!

I was going to wait a week so I had time to feel and notice the difference in my skin. Well, it’s been 4 days and wow! My skin feels softer, smoother, and healthier! Its hard to describe. I had been using tallow already on my skin but this is different. I notice pores shrinking and my skin looking smoother. My face feels more moisturized and nourished. It’s a smaller jar than the regular tallow comes in, but you really only need a tiny bit. It goes a long way and spreads very well. The scent is light and pleasant. I have even noticed some acne scarring smoothing away. Love this product!

It really is the best, in my opinion. I’ve tried the Pearl Polish and the Blue Tansy and the Oyster Serum is my favourite. The scent is light and refreshing and I REALLY like that the formula is lighter. With the other facial tallows, I used them more as a night cream as the formula was a little heavy to go under make-up, but this formula I am able to wear under make-up and my face ends up with a “dewy” look later in the day- which I don’t mind because it really keeps my skin super moisturized and balanced. I used to suffer from regular break-outs and my skin has never looked healthier- there’s been a clear reduction in fine lines and wrinkles as a result of expression lines, and any blemishes are so small they’re barely noticeable and clear up within a day.
