Yes, our tallows are in smaller containers compared to the big bottles of store-bought lotions: a little goes a very long way! The longer you consistently use tallow, the less you will need, as tallow actually helps to balance and regulate your skin – rather than dry it out as most lotions do. This isn’t an advantage for the seller, but it is fantastic for the consumer! Tallow regulates the skin to rely LESS on moisturizers, instead of training it to depend on MORE moisturizers over time. Suet, as opposed to muscle fat, contains a higher level of saturated fatty acids and a triglyceride known as glyceryl tristearate, otherwise called “stearin”. Suet therefore softens and smooths the skin’s surface better than regular tallow fat, while also helping to maintain and protect the skin’s barrier.

Tallow resembles our natural sebum (skin oil) and absorbs into the skin easily, which helps to balance the skin’s sebum production after a cleanse. Phenoxyethanol

An organic preservative to prevent the growth of bacteria, mold, fungus, and yeast in skincare products with any water content (such as hydrolyzed silk, collagen, hyaluronic acid, etc).

Naturally found in green tea leaves, phenoxyethanol is used in many natural lotions to preserve the safety and efficacy of water-based products.

We only use phenoxyethanol at a 1% maximum in our formulations, which is the official safe usage rate said to prevent skin irritations yet still ensure product safety.

Instead of a water-based product lasting mere weeks, phenoxyethanol lengthens the preservation quality to years!

△ Beading & Other Inconsistencies
Farm-fresh suet tallow in it’s raw (unprocessed and natural) state can be compared to farm-fresh raw honey. If you have ever had raw honey crystallize after sitting in your cabinet, the beekeeper probably told you it is doing exactly what that product does naturally, and it can be gently re-heated to go back to a more fluid, consistent texture state. Raw, unprocessed honey still has molecular memory – the compounds tend to draw back into their natural state over time, remembering their original composition. This is the same story with 100% grass-fed whipped farm-fresh suet tallow – except that it beads instead of crystalizes. We have not been able to determine exactly the reasons for beading, whether due to abrupt temperature fluctuations, atmospheric pressures, humidity levels, or additional ingredients: beading is a total mystery we are still trying to pin the precise cause of (and we will probably never be able to). Some tallow jars will bead, while others from the same batch stored in the same location do not! The beekeeper will be able to relate: as some honey jars crystallize, while other jars from the same batch do not. We learned this from having our own honeybees for a few years – it is a natural happening with high-quality products, although inconvenient.
You may also notice that raw natural honey (like farm-fresh tallow) is different in texture, taste, and color at different seasons – even from the same farmer and location. This is because of the seasonal availability of food for the bees and other environmental factors. Again, a very similar thing happens with grass-fed pasture-raised tallow: the texture, scent, and color vary at different seasons – even from the same farmers and locations. These are undetermined factors we have no control over due to the seasonal changes of environments and adapting natural genetics.
Despite these inconsistencies, the end performance and value of the product is still the same! With beading, it takes a few more seconds to massage the product on the skin to melt the beadings, that’s the only inconvenience. The other factors of “imperfections” are always a possibility with all-natural ingredients: affecting their scent, texture, color, and consistency. Since the ingredient is still fitting to the description of “100% grass-fed suet tallow” or “raw natural honey” as per our example – the product still works perfectly naturally and is still functioning exactly as stated and as nature intended. We could add more processed ingredients or chemical emulsifiers to remedy this, but we see this extra step as only compromising the benefits of our farm-fresh, natural, animal-based products to maybe only gain a slightly more consistent texture – it’s not even a guarantee! Just like our natural animal fat soaps will never lather like palm-based detergents, our hand-rendered tallow-based products can’t compare to the artificial consistency of highly processed and industrialized ingredients used in other body products.
Therefore, we feel that it is best to consider these inconsistencies as proof of the integrity of our ingredients, and take pleasure in knowing we are rubbing in a more wholesome skin food a little longer than if the texture, color, or scent was exactly “as-expected” like synthetic or highly processed creams are. In short, we do the best we can with what nature gifts us – we hope that you are able to enjoy a truly superior and natural product for your body, despite any organic inconsistencies!

This product was made in our one and only facility where we manufacture all of our products (scented and unscented). Atmospheric scent may or may not transfer to a detectable level over to any unscented product.
We thoroughly clean all manufacturing tools between each use and keep our unscented products completely separate from our scented products (not touching).
Product will touch our packaging boxes, papers, and fillings that have been also sitting in our same small business facility where we make scented products.
If any atmospheric scent is detected by sensitive buyers, we recommend to let the unscented product sit for a few days to a few weeks in a dry atmosphere devoid of any scent with good air flow to allow any atmospheric smells to dissipate. Usually after the first use, the atmospheric smell transfers will dissipate.
According to our policies that all buyers must agree to upon checkout: we only accept returns for unused products within 30 days of delivery and buyer must cover all return shipping costs. No shipping costs from original order or return will be refunded.

One must also take into consideration the “inferred” use of an ingredient in another product that they have previously deemed safe for use… For instance, if one has no reaction to a “grapefruit scented with essential oils” product and yet has a reaction to an “grapefruit essential oil scented” product, that does not mean that only true grapefruit essential oil was used in the prior product, nor does this guarantee that one will not have a reaction to another grapefruit scented product, as everyone uses different ratios and sources. I really like this product I use it in the morning. It makes my skin very soft and moisturized. I feel like the redness and other marks are definitely fading by using this. You only need a small amount and I mix it with my other beef tallow. I really like the combination of ingredients used. APPROVED

You don’t need much! Product warms and spreads as you rub it in. Didn’t feel heavy or greasy. It feels good to know I’m using a product that has quality ingredients and is safe! There was a scent after using that isn’t a “good” scent, but not bad either! I use it before bed so I’m sleeping anyway!

I’ve tried several of the tallow moisturizers and they were too heavy for my face, but this one is perfect and my skin loved it! I struggle with acne and this didn’t seem to break me out, plus the pearl gives a glowy look.

This lasted alot longer than I expected! A little goes a long way and it is wonderfully thick and creamy. It does have a hint of an oyster smell but it is very mild.

The title of my review says it all. I love that it’s a bit lighter in texture than the tallow balms. It’s perfect for the thinner, more delicate skin on my face! Perfect for a night cream, especially in the winter. Makes my skin feel and look amazing. 10/10! APPROVED

This stuff is INCREDIBLE! I have loved switching from coconut oil to tallow to moisturize my skin. It’s been amazing for my skin, I never have a dry face. But this Oyster-C Serum is next level! It feels so luxurious on my skin. It’s lighter than the other tallows but just as delicious for the skin. My face loves this stuff. If you’re debating if you should order, do it now!

It really is the best, in my opinion. I’ve tried the Pearl Polish and the Blue Tansy and the Oyster Serum is my favourite. The scent is light and refreshing and I REALLY like that the formula is lighter. With the other facial tallows, I used them more as a night cream as the formula was a little heavy to go under make-up, but this formula I am able to wear under make-up and my face ends up with a “dewy” look later in the day- which I don’t mind because it really keeps my skin super moisturized and balanced. I used to suffer from regular break-outs and my skin has never looked healthier- there’s been a clear reduction in fine lines and wrinkles as a result of expression lines, and any blemishes are so small they’re barely noticeable and clear up within a day. This one has become yet another staple for my beauty and skin health regime! APPROVED

I’ve only been using this cream for barely a month and it has started to fade some of my age spots. I didn’t really notice, but my Mom commented how bright and great my skin looked. This product wears really well under the natural cream foundation I use. It’s moisturizing, but not heavy or greasy. I really like this and will continue to use it to see how light it will fade my spots.

My sister told me I had to get this and I see why! It smells great and makes my skin look fresh and clean. I ordered one two weeks ago and already am about to order two more, not because I’m running low but I am that obsessed! A little goes a long way!
