Why Arrowroot?
Our motto is to feed your hair and skin from the outside-in™ and we intend to do just that with our line of dry shampoo powders, made to extend time between regular shampoo soap washes. We tested many dry shampoos before finally landing on a simple recipe of 90% arrowroot powder as the base of our formula, for multiple reasons:
- ABORBS excess oils very well – this is very important for dry shampoo!
- MINIMAL residue compared to any other natural dry shampoo we tried. Arrowroot powder leaves your hair silky soft and easy to brush through!
- Does NOT DISRUPT the hair’s natural microbiome and pH levels!
- ODORLESS – nada, nothing, zip, zilch, ZERO smell!
- NATURAL & ORGANIC: no worries about toxic chemicals seeping into your scalp and bloodstream!
- NOURISHING with naturally-occurring vitamins and minerals that are great for hair and scalp health such as: magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, B9 Folate, Sodium, and more!

NO SCENT OF ANY KIND WAS ADDED AS AN INGREDIENT TO THIS PRODUCT!
However, this product was made in our one and only facility where we manufacture all of our products (scented and unscented). Therefore, atmospheric scent may or may not transfer over at a detectable level to any unscented product.
We take every precaution possible to reduce surface-level atmospheric scent transfers by:
- Using extra manufacturing tools ONLY for unscented products.
- Our “unscented” manufacturing tools are stored in completely separate containers.
- Cleaning and sanitizing ALL manufacturing tools and surfaces between each batch.
- NEVER letting our unscented products touch our scented products (either directly or indirectly)!
Please keep in mind that our shipping supplies are stored in our same small business facility where we make scented products, so they may have an atmospheric scent transfer.
If any atmospheric scent is detected by sensitive buyers, we recommend to allow the atmospheric scent transfer to dissipate:
- Remove the unscented products from all shipping materials and any materials around the product.
- Let the unscented product sit out naked (for a few days to a few weeks) in a dry atmosphere devoid of any scent with good air flow.
- Once you start using the unscented product, even the most sensitive users may not notice the surface-level atmospheric scent transfer disappears.

Store in a room-temperature, dry place out of direct sunlight.
We recommend using within 1 year of first use for best results, as scents and contents fade and break down faster over time once disturbed.
- Before getting dressed, settle the jar on a level surface before carefully opening.
- Use applicator brush to get some powder on the brush, then tap the side of the brush over the jar on the side of the jar so that the loose powder falls back into the jar. This reduces excess application, loss, and mess.
- Using applicator brush, starting at the roots of the hair where the most oils are, brush the powder onto hair and scalp in the desired places to absorb excess oils and provide styling volume!
- Break clumps of powder into find dust with applicator brush or by brushing through hair with brush or comb, getting rid of most powder residue appearance.
- Use as desired between shampoo soap washes, but dry shampoo is never intended to replace shampoo soap washes completely!

As someone with fine hair that used to get super oily I was very dependent on dry shampoos, even after just washing I would add some just to get some volume. After all the info on the awful chemicals they used in them came out I stopped using them. Until I found Perma earth my natural alternatives I found were okay but didn’t do much. This stuff gives so much volume to my hair it’s crazy. I also love that it is healthy for your hair so I don’t feel bad using it every day, it definitely extends my hair to 2-3 days between washes if I want (this is day two hair in pic) which I never thought my hair would look this good and not flat on day two. It also doesn’t have a scent which I like. The redhead color works really good for me even though I’m a more orangey-redhead. Thanks so much for making this product!!
