Why does tallow bead sometimes?
We can compare farm-fresh grass-fed tallow to natural raw honey in this instance. Like raw natural honey that crystallizes, farm-fresh suet tallow can develop hard beads of tallow over time… We don’t make it with these lumps of love! Tallow beads take more work to melt on the skin when rubbed in. Beading occurs randomly and inconsistently; we can’t predict or prevent natural beading. If you want to re-melt your product to dissolve the beads, remove the product from the container. Gently and slowly re-heat the tallow until melted, then turn off the heat. Re-whip or stir the tallow while cooling, then put it back in the container. We appreciate the integrity of our natural ingredients made in small batches!
Why does tallow smell / look / feel different sometimes?
We can compare tallow to raw honey in this instance as well. Raw natural honey can have a different taste, color, or texture due to different locations and seasons of the harvest. Farm-fresh tallow can also have a different smell, color, and texture due to different seasons or cows. Even from the same farmer and location. These are due to factors out of our control. These factors include: foraging diet, age, genetics, environment, and how the animal is butchered. We appreciate the integrity of our natural ingredients made in small batches!

This product’s active ingredients can cause temporary skin flushing (redness caused by increased circulation stimulated on the top layer of skin). This is only a temporary effect and the skin will adjust to the application, and with consistent use over time the flushing reaction should reduce. The redness should be minimal and only last minutes. If your redness lasts longer than an hour, stop use, wash off product well, and contact your health provider if necessary.

✋ How To Use
💧 MOISTURIZER
Spread a minimal amount of tallow onto the skin using clean, dry hands.
Apply more tallow as needed.
Always keep a generous layer of tallow present on the skin for special conditions.
✨ CLEANSER
Massage tallow well onto skin with clean, dry hands for up to a minute, then wipe off with a warm wet washcloth.
Try to avoid direct eye contact, but it can be used on the skin around the eyes.
Double cleanse as needed.
Reapply a clean layer of tallow afterwards to calm, protect, and moisturize the skin.
📏 Usage Rate
Recommended to use on any skin type that needs moisturization, balancing, or cleansing. Best used at least twice daily upon waking in the morning and at night before bed, reapplying throughout the day as needed. If the application is rubbed or wiped off, a reapplication will be necessary to reap the benefits of continuous use.
⏳ Duration
Most users say this 2 oz jar of tallow lasts them approximately 2-4 weeks if used generously on large sections of the body, or approximately 2-4 months if used minimally on the face.
📦 Storage
Store in a safe, dry place at room-temperature. Keep out of direct sunlight and the reach of pets or children that may try to consume it without supervision.

I landed here after checking the reviews, I decided to go for it. I truly cannot speak highly enough of this cream. The smell is lovely, the texture is very light, even with some beading I can apply it easily. It’s so effective that in warmer weather I don’t need to use it every day; though in the Wisconsin winters, this has been a savior against wind and dry air. With regular, appropriate use, I don’t have to worry about feeling tight or scaly, and even my normal redness has come down! I will absolutely keep coming back for this.

I have been purchasing all my skincare, hair, and body products for at least a few years, maybe 4 or so. I love Perma Earth’s mission and they offer unscented, essential oils, and fragrance. So if you don’t want to use products with fragrance they are clear and transparent about what products contain such. Anyways, I switch up my tallow butters (I used on my face, neck, and chest) but I always order the Blue Tansy every other order or so. Can’t say enough about this tallow cream. I have very sensitive skin that has had a reaction to all commercial products my whole life. This cream is light enough to moisture my skin and have no reaction, as well as the ability to heal any blemishes almost over night. After applying this cream, I notice any redness, scarring or new blemishes nearly disappear. Even use on my chest and arms, and have recommended this product to multiple people struggling with the same issues.

I’m a skincare obsessive and have tried a ton of products. As I’ve gotten more and more picky about ingredients, my options have narrowed but luckily results have only gotten better. I use a peas sized amount in the morning; it applies beautifully and makes my skin look amazing. It also goes on well under make up, allowing a bit of drying down time. I notice marked improvement in skin texture and evenness, redness, and general tone. I really, really love this product.
Not particularly important to me but a nice bonus: I absolutely love the smell of blue tansy, which they use in a couple sunday riley and herbivore products that are so popular. Perma-earth’s product is so much better than theirs though, hah.

Been meaning to try this for a while. Have been using it nightly on my face for about a week, scent is pleasant and application is silky smooth. I’ve noticed that a lot of my current breakouts have almost cleared up and are healing a lot faster than they normally would with no new breakouts. Skin feels hydrated, firm and soft into the next morning and throughout the day. Surprisingly I decided to use it on a hive I woke up with one morning on my chest, and checked it hours later and it was completely gone, nothing I ever had used in the past helped and I was completely floored to see it literally vanished within hours. Oh, how I love this stuff! I have acne prone skin & it has accepted this moisturizer so nicely. It’s healing them & keeping them away. My pores have shrunk using this in combination with the unscented tallow soap for cleanser. The scent is sweet blue tansey & it’s lovely. Texture is definitely thick for a face moisturizer if you’re not used to it. I adjusted & figured out the perfect amount I need to use for all-over coverage. I will come back over & over again to buy this. As you can see I haven’t gone through a whole jar yet, but that’s just how GOOD this stuff is. Amazing results for my acne prone skin. I have been using somewhat natural products from the drugstore for a couple years now but they still have too many ingredients and chemicals for me… I find it hard to find a good face cream that doesn’t clog pores or cause breakouts. This cream has improved the condition of my skin so much since using it! I don’t think I’ve had a pimple since I switched to this. I only put it on my freshly washed face at night before bed and it lasts throughout the next day without washing my face or reapplying. I don’t like to wash my face more then once a day so I don’t strip the natural oils and moisture from it and this allows me to do that with no problem. Don’t ever stop making this!

I have combination skin and am starting to notice signs of aging with some crow’s feet and “smile lines” on my forehead and after only a few uses this tallow is smoothing those areas out as well as helping to clear up any breakouts. This is probably my favorite whipped tallow butter I’ve used. It absorbs so nicely and doesn’t leave you feeling greasy! I’ve tried another brand’s tallow body butter and the formulation leaves a heavy greasy feel which gets in my hair (no bueno) but this one absolutely does not! I use it on my face and I’ve noticed a positive difference in my complexion. 🙂

I work for a plastic surgeon who also runs a med-spa…hyaluronic is so good for moisture and plumping of the skin, but then there’s also blue tansy, which I love because I am 53 years old and need the moisture and plumping, but I also still break out occasionally. Blue Tansy is great for acne breakouts and aloe is awesome for soothing and moisture. Then you have the whipped tallow which glides on like silk. It’s not greasy. Give it a try! (Note: I love the smell of blue tansy, but it’s not a sweet smell).
