  • Tallow is an excellent moisturizer used to soothe dry skin. It’s thick enough to handle the toughest rough patches, but light enough to absorb quickly into the skin. High-quality tallow is said to be loaded with the bioavailable forms of vitamins A, D, E and K, plus full of essential fatty acids not commonly found in common modern day skincare. Your skin absorbs these nutrients just like nicotine from a quit-smoking patch – or even a deadly dose of poison from handling a toxic frog.   • Yes, our tallows are in smaller containers compared to the big bottles of store-bought lotions: a little goes a very long way! The longer you consistently use tallow, the less you will need, as tallow actually helps to balance and regulate your skin – rather than dry it out as most lotions do. This isn’t an advantage for the seller, but it is fantastic for the consumer! Tallow regulates the skin to rely LESS on moisturizers, instead of training it to depend on MORE moisturizers over time. Therefore, tallow IMPROVES your skin over time, instead of subtly and slowly making it become dependent upon outside moisture, like chemical lotions do.
  • Suet, as opposed to muscle fat, contains a higher level of saturated fatty acids and a triglyceride known as glyceryl tristearate, otherwise called “stearin”. Suet therefore softens and smooths the skin’s surface better than regular tallow fat, while also helping to maintain and protect the skin’s barrier.
  • Tallow resembles our natural sebum (skin oil) and absorbs into the skin easily, which helps to balance the skin’s sebum production after a cleanse. Pair this with the fact that high-quality tallow is non-comedogenic (will not clog pores when used correctly) – and you have a skin-match success for any skin type!
  • The Vitamin D3 found in tallow induces the expression of antimicrobial peptide genes in human skin and plays a significant role in preventing opportunistic infections.
  • Moreover, grass-fed tallow contains conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). Blue Tansy Essential Oil

Anti-Inflammatory, Calming, Soothing, Anti-Aging
  • Also known as Moroccan Chamomile, Blue Tansy’s color comes from the naturally occurring compound chamazulene that turns a deep blue once heated and extracted.
  • Chamazulene is a type of antioxidant that is known to have calming effects on the skin, as well as the ability to fight free radical damage that contributes to signs of aging.
  • Blue Tansy essential oil is described as having a sweet, earthy, herbal fragrance that is naturally relaxing, much like chamomile essential oil.
  • The compounds found in this versatile plant can help skin that’s prone to a range of problems, including dryness, sensitivity, irritation, breakouts, wrinkles and dullness.
  • While some facial oils are not recommended for people with acne-prone skin, blue tansy seems to help reduce breakouts and other signs of skin inflammation and irritation.

Certified Organic Vitamin E

This isn’t your regular (questionable) Vitamin E, this is:
  • Only derived from USDA Certified Organic sunflowers – NO soy, wheat, gluten, or synthetic ingredients – there is no other purer Vitamin E on the market.
  • Natural Vitamin E (d-Alpha Tocopherol) boasts 2X (200%) more skin absorption and bioavailability for our bodies to utilize than synthetic “vitamin e”. Phenoxyethanol

  • An organic preservative to prevent the growth of bacteria, mold, fungus, and yeast in skincare products with any water content (such as hyaluronic acid and aloe vera juice).
  • Naturally found in and extracted from green tea leaves, phenoxyethanol is used in many natural lotions to preserve the safety and efficacy of water-based products. We could literally call it “green tea extract” like some companies do and probably get away with it, but would that convey the truth?
  • We only use phenoxyethanol at a 1% maximum in our formulations, which is the official safe usage rate said to prevent skin irritations yet still ensure product safety.
  • Instead of a water-based product lasting mere weeks, phenoxyethanol lengthens the preservation quality to years!
  • We choose to be open and honest with our preservative ingredients, rather than try to hide them under more natural sounding names such as “extracts” or “fermentations”.

△ Beading & Other Inconsistencies

Farm-fresh suet tallow in it’s raw (unprocessed and natural) state can be compared to farm-fresh raw honey. If you have ever had raw honey crystallize after sitting in your cabinet, the beekeeper probably told you it is doing exactly what that product does naturally, and it can be gently re-heated to go back to a more fluid, consistent texture state. Raw, unprocessed honey still has molecular memory – the compounds tend to draw back into their natural state over time, remembering their original composition. This is the same story with 100% grass-fed whipped farm-fresh suet tallow – except that it beads instead of crystalizes. We have not been able to determine exactly the reasons for beading, whether due to abrupt temperature fluctuations, atmospheric pressures, humidity levels, or additional ingredients: beading is a total mystery we are still trying to pin the precise cause of (and we will probably never be able to). Some tallow jars will bead, while others from the same batch stored in the same location do not! The beekeeper will be able to relate: as some honey jars crystallize, while other jars from the same batch do not. We learned this from having our own honeybees for a few years – it is a natural happening with high-quality products, although inconvenient.
You may also notice that raw natural honey (like farm-fresh tallow) is different in texture, taste, and color at different seasons – even from the same farmer and location. This is because of the seasonal availability of food for the bees and other environmental factors. Again, a very similar thing happens with grass-fed pasture-raised tallow: the texture, scent, and color vary at different seasons – even from the same farmers and locations. These are undetermined factors we have no control over due to the seasonal changes of environments and adapting natural genetics.
Despite these inconsistencies, the end performance and value of the product is still the same! With beading, it takes a few more seconds to massage the product on the skin to melt the beadings, that’s the only inconvenience. The other factors of “imperfections” are always a possibility with all-natural ingredients: affecting their scent, texture, color, and consistency. Since the ingredient is still fitting to the description of “100% grass-fed suet tallow” or “raw natural honey” as per our example – the product still works perfectly naturally and is still functioning exactly as stated and as nature intended. We could add more processed ingredients or chemical emulsifiers to remedy this, but we see this extra step as only compromising the benefits of our farm-fresh, natural, animal-based products to maybe only gain a slightly more consistent texture – it’s not even a guarantee! Just like our natural animal fat soaps will never lather like palm-based detergents, our hand-rendered tallow-based products can’t compare to the artificial consistency of highly processed and industrialized ingredients used in other body products.
Therefore, we feel that it is best to consider these inconsistencies as proof of the integrity of our ingredients, and take pleasure in knowing we are rubbing in a more wholesome skin food a little longer than if the texture, color, or scent was exactly “as-expected” like synthetic or highly processed creams are. In short, we do the best we can with what nature gifts us – we hope that you are able to enjoy a truly superior and natural product for your body, despite any organic inconsistencies!

    This is my go-to moisturizer every day after my serum and before my makeup! It’s so creamy that it helps all my concealer and foundation just glide on. I have naturally dry skin and am trying to proactively combat wrinkles (aren’t we all) and I feel so hydrated after a night with the Magnesium Dream Cream, and days with this Blue Tansy cream!     I’m a skincare obsessive and have tried a ton of products. As I’ve gotten more and more picky about ingredients, my options have narrowed but luckily results have only gotten better. I use a peas sized amount in the morning; it applies beautifully and makes my skin look amazing. It also goes on well under make up, allowing a bit of drying down time. I notice marked improvement in skin texture and evenness, redness, and general tone. I really, really love this product.

    Not particularly important to me but a nice bonus: I absolutely love the smell of blue tansy, which they use in a couple sunday riley and herbivore products that are so popular. Perma-earth’s product is so much better than theirs though, hah.

    Been meaning to try this for a while. Have been using it nightly on my face for about a week, scent is pleasant and application is silky smooth. I’ve noticed that a lot of my current breakouts have almost cleared up and are healing a lot faster than they normally would with no new breakouts. Skin feels hydrated, firm and soft into the next morning and throughout the day. Surprisingly I decided to use it on a hive I woke up with one morning on my chest, and checked it hours later and it was completely gone, nothing I ever had used in the past helped and I was completely floored to see it literally vanished within hours. Definitely going to keep this one on hand. 100% recommend.

    I absolutely love this cream! I use this on my face and neck and it smells divine. It is very moisturizing on my dry, aging skin. A little goes a long way, so this jar will last me awhile. Sometimes I will open the jar just to smell the heavenly aroma Lol, it’s that good. I will most definitely order more when I start getting low.

    If there was a dance move to go along with this product then the Hippy Hop would be it! The smell reminds me of a retro vibe and this lotion is ever so creamy! I use it on my face at night and in the morning and it is moisturizing and it soaks right it. Will definitely be ordering again.

    I don’t want to say this is a miracle product, but it kind of feels like it sometimes! I’ve noticed I have less acne and redness after use. My skin also feels super hydrated all day long. I feel like it gives me a sort of dewy look that I used to get from vitamin C / brightening serums. I’m very pleased with this product! I will be ordering more once I’m running low, but a little goes a long way and I think this jar will last me a few months. APPROVED

    Oh, how I love this stuff! I have acne prone skin & it has accepted this moisturizer so nicely. It’s healing them & keeping them away. My pores have shrunk using this in combination with the unscented tallow soap for cleanser. The scent is sweet blue tansey & it’s lovely. Texture is definitely thick for a face moisturizer if you’re not used to it. I adjusted & figured out the perfect amount I need to use for all-over coverage. I will come back over & over again to buy this. As you can see I haven’t gone through a whole jar yet, but that’s just how GOOD this stuff is. Amazing results for my acne prone skin. I also slather extra on my crows feet & use it for lip balm too. Worth every penny! APPROVED

    This cream is so silky, smooth, and easy to apply. I went to get a facial from an esthetician shortly after I started using this product and she could not get over how hydrated my skin felt. I have used all kinds of moisturizers over the years, and nothing compares to the hydration of beef tallow. And the hyaluronic acid is a great additional bonus! I also love the scent of this cream. So far, this is my favorite perma-earth face cream, but I intend to try them all!

    It’s only been a week using this product but the MIRACLES it has done have been visible. I’ve had no new breakouts, I’m prone to always having breakouts around my jawline area (wearing mask all day) and forehead. All my previous acne marks/scars are healing faster and even tone!! My face feels smooth, firm and fresh. It’s only been a week and I’ve barely used any; a little goes a long way! At first I was using it like I would a regular cream and my face felt oily and it took a long time to absorb. But I’ve learned to use very little and it’s perfect, my skin LOVES it.

    I was unable to use any prescription creams for my face during pregnancy and now postpartum and was suffering from a major break out (see picture). I was super self conscious and hated the way my skin looked. I went for it and tried this miracle worker out and I will ALWAYS buy it. My skin is 100% rash free after a weeks use, it smells amazing, and I\’ll never use those old prescription products again! Never stop making this, please!

    I ordered a sample of this and immediately wished I had ordered a bigger size! I only use a tiny amount so it lasts a long time. I feel like it really does help to diminish my wrinkles and doesn’t break my face out. The blue tansy smell is nice, but it fades pretty quickly as long as you don’t use too much. APPROVED

    This is by far the best facial moisturizer I have ever used! The Blue Tansy smells wonderful, and the application feels so smooth. It moisturizes without leaves any feelings of grease. It also only takes a little bit of the whipped tallow to moisturize my face entirely. I still have plenty left after about a month of nightly use. Overall, an excellent product!

    I have been using somewhat natural products from the drugstore for a couple years now but they still have too many ingredients and chemicals for me… I find it hard to find a good face cream that doesn’t clog pores or cause breakouts. This cream has improved the condition of my skin so much since using it! I don’t think I’ve had a pimple since I switched to this. I only put it on my freshly washed face at night before bed and it lasts throughout the next day without washing my face or reapplying. I don’t like to wash my face more then once a day so I don’t strip the natural oils and moisture from it and this allows me to do that with no problem. Don’t ever stop making this!

    I’m so in love with this product. Actually, all of Perma Earth’s products are top notch. I love the texture of this tallow when applied to my skin. I have noticeably clearer skin, more even tone and texture and a huge increase in moisture throughout the day without looking really greasy or shiny.     This tallow is wonderful. I have combination skin and am starting to notice signs of aging with some crow’s feet and “smile lines” on my forehead and after only a few uses this tallow is smoothing those areas out as well as helping to clear up any breakouts. The only reason I don’t give it a shining 5 stars is because I’m not a huge fan of the tansy even though I love it’s effects on my skin. But the scent dissipates quickly so you don’t notice it. Even though it’s not my favourite scent, I still love this product and will happily use this product on a daily basis! @ol_shannie

    I was a little hesitant about buying this one to use primarily on my face. Another tallow butter I had tried left my skin feeling greasy yet not moisturized. Within less than 24hrs of having this, I’ve already noticed the dry spot along my chin is gone! It doesn’t leave a greasy feeling and smells SO good! @_reneemichelle

    This is probably my favorite whipped tallow butter I’ve used. It absorbs so nicely and doesn’t leave you feeling greasy! I’ve tried another brand’s tallow body butter and the formulation leaves a heavy greasy feel which gets in my hair (no bueno) but this one absolutely does not! I use it on my face and I’ve noticed a positive difference in my complexion. 🙂

    I work for a plastic surgeon who also runs a med-spa…hyaluronic is so good for moisture and plumping of the skin, but then there’s also blue tansy, which I love because I am 53 years old and need the moisture and plumping, but I also still break out occasionally. Blue Tansy is great for acne breakouts and aloe is awesome for soothing and moisture. Then you have the whipped tallow which glides on like silk. It’s not greasy. Give it a try! (Note: I love the smell of blue tansy, but it’s not a sweet smell).
