Make sure you are using the products correctly according to the directions before you try something else new!
This set lasts beginners on average 1 month for longer/thicker hair types, or 3 months for shorter/thinner hair types. You will use up your first shampoo bars quickly while learning how to properly wash with real soap, and usually a conditioner bar lasts 3X longer than a shampoo soap, which is why this set is important for starters.

We don’t recommend anything other than our basic haircare set for beginners. This is because 99% of shampoo bars on the market are NOT soap, but detergents that strip the hair and scalp, altering the hair’s texture and the scalp’s oil production. Any extra additives like scent, honey, charcoal, or others might not compliment a beginner’s hair, which taints their first experience with our shampoo soaps and conditioner bars. For example: we can’t recommend our more moisturizing shampoo soaps if our regular shampoo soap would bring plenty of moisture to your hair that was stripped by detergents. Another example: we can’t recommend our more clarifying formulas if our regular shampoo soap would cleanse your hair enough, the more cleansing ones may be too much for your hair if your oil production was over-stimulated by using detergents.

Alright-I have tried shampoo bars before and they just have never seemed to work for me. I have been using a popular/well known “natural” shampoo for the past few years. My hair started to fall out a little more frequently and I was looking for something that was more ‘natural’ but that I could pronounce the ingredients and stop losing what looked like a lack of hair resilience to me. Enters Perma-Earth.
I ordered it started washing and using the conditioner and what I realized is there really is a learning curve to using shampoo for the hair. I had read the instructions and watched the video but after ten washes my hair still felt like straw. So, I was going to call but then went and re-read the instructions and watched the video again and lo and behold that night I used the downward strokes with the bar on my shoulder length hair instead of swirl motion on my hair and it made all the difference for me. I knew it should work for me too, because my son was also using it at the same time I was and his hair adapted right away. I say all this to let you know not to give up.
