Glass Bottle & Plastic Pump

Approximately 32mg of ancient mineral magnesium per pump

Carefully handcrafted with farm-fresh local grass-fed milk, pasture-raised local lard, organic aloe vera gel, and magnesium chloride mineral brine from the Ancient Zechstein Sea.

These liquid lotions are the epitome of our phrase Feed Your Skin From The Outside-In™

We highly recommend our solid lotions or our skin butters for the driest and most damaged skin, but these liquid lotions are milk-based for those wanting anti-aging alpha-hydroxy acids and a more conventional lotion feel. As such, they are made with more modern-day lotion ingredients and preservatives for safety reasons. If you are opposed to any of these ingredients, instead try our solid lotions or our skin butters!

Our Ingredients

Grass-Fed Local Milk

  • An Unpasteurized, Whole, Non-Homogenized, Raw Source From Farm-Fresh Local Grass-Fed Cows
  • Milk is high in a plethora of various nourishing and anti-aging vitamins, minerals, proteins, and fatty acids. Such as, but not limited to: AHA’s, Hyaluronic Acid, Retinol-A, Vitamin D3.
  • Since our cow milk was pasture-raised and grass-fed, it has a very high level of Vitamin D3 from the sun-exposed cows. Vitamin D3 helps protect the skin against environmental damages, improves skin cell production issues, and slows the aging process.
  • Grass-fed milk contains more balanced fatty acid ratios of Omega 3-6-9, which is good for a healthier skin complexion and less inflammation.
  • Milk contains about 10 μg Retinol and 6 gram carotenoids per gram of fat, and our raw milk is whole (full fat).
  • Lactic Acid is a naturally-occurring alpha-hydroxy acid, famous for rejuvenating skin cells and renewing cells faster for a more youthful look. This is also great for those who suffer from keratin production issues, scarring, and acne.
  • Since hyaluronic acid is distributed around cells and helps form connective tissues, it’s widely found in animals like cows. Milk contains hyaluronan (Hyaluronic Acid), a glycosaminoglycan polymer found in virtually all mammalian tissues.
  • Despite popular belief, plants don’t contain hyaluronic acid. It also doesn’t exist in fungi or insects. Therefore, the best hyaluronic acid food sources come from animals.
  • Milk is the near-perfect food, a fountain of youth for your skin: if it can grow a beautiful baby calf into a strong, gorgeous cow – imagine what it can do for your skin!

Aloe Vera

  • USDA Certified Organic Aloe Vera Gel helps to moisturize and hydrate the skin while increasing collagen synthesis and cross-linking in the skin.
  • Aloe vera contains the enzyme bradykinase, which is the active ingredient to suppress signs of inflammation, namely redness, swelling, pain, and heat when the gel is applied on the skin.
  • Aloe Vera gel has vitamin C, E, and beta-carotene in abundance. Therefore, it has anti-aging properties. It also contains antimicrobial properties and is anti-inflammatory, assisting to eradicate skin blemishes and diminish age lines. Additionally, it helps to increase the production of collagen in the body and skin elasticity.
  • The ancient Egyptians commonly used aloe vera in skincare for dryness, acne, inflammation, burns, rashes, and more.
  • Aloe Vera Gel has many active ingredients and minerals to feed your skin: its amino acids, vitamins, and minerals can contribute to a healthier epidermis.*
  • A great natural moisturizer and can help to soothe dry skin.*
  • Has anti-inflammatory properties to reduce the appearance of blemishes and wrinkles.*

Local Pasture-Raised Lard

  • Purely hand-rendered by our own team and NEVER bleached or ultra-processed.
  • If you are looking for tallow-based moisturizers, look no further than our skin butters, but for our milk lotions we decided lard was the best fat to use for many reasons…
  • More Vitamin D3 content for superior skin protection against environmental damage, better skin cell production, and increasing youthfulness.
  • Creates a more stable consistency and texture than tallow. You may read more about the differences of lard and tallow here in our Educational Article.
  • Pasture-Raised, Organic-Fed Lard has a fatty acid profile that is very similar to high-quality tallow (read the article above): it is not inflammatory, nor is it comedogenic. Lard is actually our great-great grandmother’s best-kept beauty secret!

Magnesium

  • Approximately 32mg of ancient mineral magnesium per pump
  • Sourced from the ancient Zechstein Sea, our Magnesium Chloride is the purest of the pure and best of the best.
  • Magnesium is an extremely common vital nutrient deficiency among modern civilizations. This is due to poor diets and unhealthy lifestyles, plus the vast decreases in top soil quality from conventional farming methods.
  • Magnesium is a necessary nutrient that is required for over 300 important bodily functions.
  • Magnesium is especially beneficial for healthy nervous, metabolic, immune, and muscle functions.*
  • Magnesium is very useful for relaxation, sleep-cycles, and boosting immune system functions.*
  • Magnesium can reduce oil production in the skin, which can be beneficial for oily skin types. Our pasture-raised, organic-fed lard helps to balance this out, combatting dryness with healthy, non-clogging fats that are similar to human sebum.*
  • Magnesium is a natural, but powerful anti-inflammatory agent!*

Emulsifying Wax

  • It’s extremely disappointing when your expensive natural lotion separates, develops lumps and/or watery areas, or becomes impossible to get out of the bottle in cooler temperatures… Emulsifying Wax helps to prevent these common natural lotion issues!
  • Emulsifying Wax is a plant-based wax that keeps our lotions a stable consistency while improving the moisturization qualities for better skin health.
  • Emulsifying Wax does exactly what the name says: it keeps the fats and water/milk contents emulsified (bonded together) with little-to-no separation problems.
  • If you would like to avoid this ingredient for a more natural option, you may try our solid lotions or skin butters instead!

BTMS-50

  • BTMS is an ionized salt derived from nature and is an absolute necessary ingredient for making natural liquid lotions with the conventional “powdery” finish and feel.
  • BTMS is the acronym for the long scientific name of the compound “Behentrimonium Methosulfate” however, BTMS is NOT a sulfate and is very environmentally friendly.
  • This ingredient is irreplaceable for a powdery-smooth skin-conditioning lotion finish, instead of a heavy, oily, or greasy feel.
  • It is also another effective emulsifier, making our natural lotions more shelf-stable and silky-smooth to the touch.
  • For the skin-conditioning effects most of us are used to with commercial lotions, BTMS is the most natural way for us to achieve this effect!
  • If you would like to avoid this ingredient for a more natural option, you may try our solid lotions or skin butters instead!

Certified Organic Vitamin E

This isn’t your regular (questionable) Vitamin E, this is:
  • Only derived from USDA Certified Non-GMO Organic sunflowers – NO soy, wheat, gluten, or synthetic ingredients – there is no other purer Vitamin E on the market.
  • Natural Vitamin E (d-Alpha Tocopherol) boasts 2X (200%) more skin absorption and bioavailability for our bodies to utilize than synthetic “vitamin e”. The most obvious differences between the two types is where Vitamin E is sourced and they even have different chemical names. “dL-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate” (synthetic Vitamin E) comes from petrochemicals. Meanwhile, “d-Alpha Tocopherol” (natural Vitamin E) is made from the natural nutrients of plant oils.
  • Perfect to help keep our milk lotions shelf-stable for longer by dramatically slowing oxidation, rancidity, and UV damage.
  • Wonderful for skincare. Vitamin E is an invaluable asset for skin moisturizers, as it speeds healing and increases moisture-retention for next-level youthfulness.* Vitamin E has also been scientifically shown to prevent the breakdown of collagen.
  • An absolute necessity in our skincare products for better shelf-stability and beautiful skin…

Phenoxyethanol

  • An organic preservative to prevent the growth of bacteria, mold, fungus, and yeast in skincare products with any water content (such as farm-fresh raw milk and aloe vera juice).
  • Naturally found in and extracted from green tea leaves, phenoxyethanol is used in many natural lotions to preserve the safety and efficacy of water-based products. We could literally call it “green tea extract” like some companies do and probably get away with it, but would that convey the truth?
  • We only use phenoxyethanol at a 1% maximum in our formulations, which is the official safe usage rate said to prevent skin irritations yet still ensure product safety.
  • Instead of a water-based product lasting mere weeks, phenoxyethanol lengthens the preservation quality to years!
  • We choose to be open and honest with our preservative ingredients, rather than try to hide them under more natural sounding names such as “extracts” or “fermentations”.

Grass-Fed Local Farm-Fresh Whole Raw Unpasteurized Non-Homogenized Milk, Local Pasture-Raised Organic-Fed Lard, Emulsifying Wax (Cetyl Stearyl Alcohol, Polysorbate 60), Organic Aloe Vera Gel (with Agar, Citric Acid, Ascorbic Acid, and Potassium Sorbate), BTMS-50 (Behentrimonium Methosulfate (sulfate-free), Cetyl Alcohol, Butylene Glycol), Natural Magnesium Chloride from the Ancient Zechstein Sea, Organic Non-GMO Vitamin E, and Phenoxyethanol (an organic milk preservative).

NO SCENT OF ANY KIND WAS ADDED AS AN INGREDIENT TO THIS PRODUCT!

However, this product was made in our one and only facility where we manufacture all of our products (scented and unscented). Therefore, atmospheric scent may or may not transfer over at a detectable level to any unscented product.

We take every precaution possible to reduce surface-level atmospheric scent transfers by:

  • Using extra manufacturing tools ONLY for unscented products.
  • Our “unscented” manufacturing tools are stored in completely separate containers.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing ALL manufacturing tools and surfaces between each batch.
  • NEVER letting our unscented products touch our scented products (either directly or indirectly)!

Please keep in mind that our shipping supplies are stored in our same small business facility where we make scented products, so they may have an atmospheric scent transfer.

If any atmospheric scent is detected by sensitive buyers, we recommend to allow the atmospheric scent transfer to dissipate:

  1.  Remove the unscented products from all shipping materials and any materials around the product.
  2.  Let the unscented product sit out naked (for a few days to a few weeks) in a dry atmosphere devoid of any scent with good air flow.
  3.  Once you start using the unscented product, even the most sensitive users may not notice the surface-level atmospheric scent transfer disappears.

Best By Date: August 13th, 2027

Store in a room-temperature, dry place out of direct sunlight.

  • Lotion exposed to fresh air will develop a drier top crust which can be used with extra water to soften up again.
  • If the natural ingredients separate, shake well to re-emulsify.
  • UV light exposure may darken or change the color of the lotion, the UV discolored lotion is still safe to be used, but it should be stored out of the light as much as possible.

  1. Valencia Dominguez

I really enjoyed this style of lotion. I actually just ran out of it since I use multiple lotions daily. This and the regular tallow. A little goes a long way with this stuff. You do have to take time to rub it into the skin but it’s got that nice feel of what you’d buy at a regular store. Great stuff!
    @valencia.Saxon

  2. cyrenalyman

I bought this so that I would stop going through my tallow moisturizers so quickly. This left my skin very soft and I got a lot of uses out of it. However, I found that the tallow is a little more moisturizing for my skin so I ended up sticking with that. Still a great lotion!

  3. stephanie.chica.scott

This product didn’t do much for me, I felt like it was laying on top of my skin rather than being absorbed. I also realized that my skin requires a much heavier moisturizer. That being said the consistency of the lotion is nice and easy to use. I used a good portion of this on my baby and it was good for his sensitive skin.

    • Perma-Earth

Hi Stephanie! Thank you for your honest review, since your skin may need heavier moiturization that absorbs better into your skin, we highly recommend our unscented whipped tallow – we hope you will be able to try our very high quality whipped tallow body butter! Your baby would love it as well we think 🙂 Wishing you the best in health and happiness! -Mariah, owner

  4. jjoeyjjamesjjohnson

My skin has always been super dry. I used Aveeno to try to help me and it didn’t do the trick. I ordered this milk lotion and my skin has been smoother than ever. This even helped with my eczema. I definitely recommend this product to anybody with dry or unhealthy skin. I use this on my body and face almost daily!

  5. Isabel Rose

This lotion, while not as moisturizing as whipped tallow, still was more nourishing than other liquid lotions I have used. Unfortunately, this lotion had started to spoil before the best-by date. This was fine, but I had to rush to finish it all before it became very spoiled!
The glass container the lotion came in is very high quality and great for reusing.

    • MariahJadeC

Hi Isabel! We have updated the newer recipes to include stronger and more preservatives to help keep it shelf-stable for up to 2 years from the manufacture date now 🙂

  6. Joshua Brinks

This lotion is absolutely wonderful. Even though it’s unscented, it does has a light sweet scent that’s just refreshing when it gets put on. Doesn’t linger at all and it just soaks into my skin without any greasy feel. I’ve always had an issue with lotions coming back up when I work out or be really active and this lotion just absorbs into my body and keeps my skin soft and silky. If you prefer unscented lotions, this one trumps anything you could ever find on a shelf at a store (unless you’re at Perma-Earths shop).
    @Itsamejsb

  7. Ariana Cannell

I love this lotion. It is unscented but it does have its natural scent which is actually really nice. It smells like sweetened fresh milk. It soaks into my skin great and doesn’t leave a residue. I use it before bed to get that dose of magnesium for a good nights sleep. Highly recommend. @arianacannell

  8. Kasey Curtis

So in love with this lotion! This particular scent is not my favorite but the feel is everything! I’d 10/10 buy again in the same scent if I had to. The first 2-4 applications my skin immediately absorbed the lotion so used a lot more than I expected. I’ve continued to use daily and find that I use less and less. But my skin feels so good. My son gets bad dry skin in winter and loves the feel in his hands and cheeks. So far so amazing!
