Why Arrowroot?
Our motto is to feed your hair and skin from the outside-in™ and we intend to do just that with our line of dry shampoo powders, made to extend time between regular shampoo soap washes. We tested many dry shampoos before finally landing on a simple recipe of 90% arrowroot powder as the base of our formula, for multiple reasons:
- ABORBS excess oils very well – this is very important for dry shampoo!
- MINIMAL residue compared to any other natural dry shampoo we tried. Arrowroot powder leaves your hair silky soft and easy to brush through!
- Does NOT DISRUPT the hair’s natural microbiome and pH levels!
- ODORLESS – nada, nothing, zip, zilch, ZERO smell!
- NATURAL & ORGANIC: no worries about toxic chemicals seeping into your scalp and bloodstream!
- NOURISHING with naturally-occurring vitamins and minerals that are great for hair and scalp health such as: magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, B9 Folate, Sodium, and more!

NO SCENT OF ANY KIND WAS ADDED AS AN INGREDIENT TO THIS PRODUCT!
However, this product was made in our one and only facility where we manufacture all of our products (scented and unscented). Therefore, atmospheric scent may or may not transfer over at a detectable level to any unscented product.
We take every precaution possible to reduce surface-level atmospheric scent transfers by:
- Using extra manufacturing tools ONLY for unscented products.
- Our “unscented” manufacturing tools are stored in completely separate containers.
- Cleaning and sanitizing ALL manufacturing tools and surfaces between each batch.
- NEVER letting our unscented products touch our scented products (either directly or indirectly)!
Please keep in mind that our shipping supplies are stored in our same small business facility where we make scented products, so they may have an atmospheric scent transfer.
If any atmospheric scent is detected by sensitive buyers, we recommend to allow the atmospheric scent transfer to dissipate:
- Remove the unscented products from all shipping materials and any materials around the product.
- Let the unscented product sit out naked (for a few days to a few weeks) in a dry atmosphere devoid of any scent with good air flow.
- Once you start using the unscented product, even the most sensitive users may not notice the surface-level atmospheric scent transfer disappears.

Store in a room-temperature, dry place out of direct sunlight.
We recommend using within 1 year of first use for best results, as scents and contents fade and break down faster over time once disturbed.
- Before getting dressed, apply desired amount directly on to hair and scalp.*
- Spread powder onto hair and scalp in desired areas where there is excess oil present.
- Break clumps of powder into find dust by brushing through hair with brush or comb, getting rid of most residue appearance.
- Use as desired between shampoo soap washes; dry shampoo is never intended to replace shampoo soap washes completely.

My roots have always been oily and I was very skeptical to leave my beloved aerosol behind but I trusted the process. My hair really doesn’t get oily and looks great. You have to blend it but there’s no residue and I know it helps my hair and the earth by not using aerosol

This is my first non aerosol dry shampoo but I feel like I’ve got the holy grail of dry shampoos why would I ever switch ?! I have greasy hair the day after a shampoo and had thought at best I could do dry shampoo with a ponytail to look okay to extend my washes. Well I’ve been using this for a few months now and seriously it soaks up the grease in my hair like no other. Using this the day(s) after lets me style my hair anyway I want even down and it looks like a fresh wash day. Thank you !!

I love the color of this dry shampoo and find it works great. Dry shampoo tends to weigh my hair down and leave it looking mousy, but I currently am trying to bring my hair back to life. I avoid heat, and am not the best at styling, but feel this would be perfect if you were going to apply before styling. Powder is very loose so be careful opening the jar and no need to over apply to the brush!

Along with the shampoo and conditioner bars from this company, my hair can now last many days before a new wash! This powder soaks up all the moisture with no residue, no smell, and no butane! It’s a little different to get used to at first without being able to spray it, but it’s so worth it given the ingredients. It also lasts a long time, I have had it for about 7 months and use it weekly, and I still have plenty to go.
