Shrink and tone pores while eliminating the symptoms of acne with our unscented toner. Please only use our toner in conjunction with using our cleansers and moisturizers for the best results in a complete skincare routine.

Use this toner as the 2nd step in your daily skincare routine after cleansing and before moisturizing. Use at least once per day and up to 3 or 4 times per day as needed.

• This formula fights the specific acne bacteria that thrive in an alkaline environment. When used in conjunction with our natural soaps, this packs a powerful punch against bacteria that thrive in acidic AND alkaline environments!

• 2% Salicylic Acid toners are recommended by all dermatologists for acne treatment, and is the same substance you would find in willow bark!

• Actively shrink pores and eliminate the signs of acne when used 1-3 times per day consistently after cleansing.

• Organic Calendula infusion results in faster skin healing and a more even skin tone.

• Organic Witch Hazel extract further cleanses the pores, lifting dirt and oils from deep within, while maintaining evenness in sebum production.

How To Use

After cleansing with our facial soap, apply to clean skin with a fresh cotton or natural round pad. Let dry before continuing with next steps in your skincare routine such as your protectants and/or moisturizers.

Certified Organic Witch Hazel Extract

• Witch hazel is an astringent for skin due to its tannin content. Applied to skin, tannins compress proteins in skin, creating an invisible “film” that can reduce the appearance of wrinkles, de-grease the skin, and minimize the look of enlarged pores.

• Touted as one of the best ways to remove dirt, grime, and excess traces of makeup at the end of the day to keep your skin looking clear and beautiful. It can be used after the cleanser as a toner to target skin problems like acne, enlarged pores, redness, under-eye puffiness and more.

• Witch hazel contains tannins and polyphenols. Tannins help in reducing swelling and fighting bacteria, and polyphenols protect the skin against damage caused by UV radiation from sunlight.

• Witch hazel has components that help soothe minor skin conditions such as burns, acne, inflammation, irritated skin, insect bites and more.

• Calendula extract is commonly used in cosmetics and is known for its numerous benefits in addressing skin concerns, including acne and irritation. It is widely considered safe to use and is recognized by the World Health Organization for its properties. As such, you’ll often find it in skincare products formulated for sensitive skin.

• Calendula has anti-inflammatory properties and can help calm redness and inflammation, easing skin discomfort.

• Calendula helps slow down the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and other signs of skin aging. Adding calendula to your skin regimen can boost skin hydration and help promote clear, youthful, glowing skin.

• Calendula can help fade the appearance of dark spots, acne marks, and hyperpigmentation

• One of calendula’s most notable benefits in terms of skincare is its ability to help protect the skin from oxidative stress. Oxidative stress is a catch-all term to describe the damage that occurs when the skin is exposed to free radicals, or reactive oxygen species. These damaging compounds form after exposure to a stressor, like UV radiation or pollution, and accumulate on the skin. Without intervention, free radicals can alter cellular DNA, ultimately resulting in damage to necessary structural compounds like collagen and elastin. That’s where calendula comes in. Calendula flowers are rich in antioxidant compounds, including flavonoids, polyphenols, and carotenoids. These antioxidants help neutralize free radicals, limiting the effect they can have on the skin. In practice, this means calendula helps protect the skin from stressors, which keeps it functioning optimally and looking its best.

2% Salicylic Acid

• Salicylic acid is a beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) that helps to promote the skin’s natural exfoliation process and eliminate the buildup of dead skin cells.

• Because salicylic acid is “lipid-soluble”—unlike alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs)—it is able to penetrate clogged pores, which is especially beneficial for those with oily skin.

• Originally derived from the bark of certain plants—such as white willow and wintergreen leaf—salicylic acid is most often created in a lab today.

• This ingredient has long been used to target various concerns, including rough and bumpy skin (also known as keratosis pilaris), clogged pores, and skin conditions like psoriasis.

• When used as part of your skincare regimen, this ingredient’s mild yet effective micro exfoliating properties can help leave your skin feeling softer and smoother.

Isopropyl Alcohol

We have found this ingredient irreplaceable in many toners. In fact,  ALL acidic toners (whether they contain some form of hidden alcohol or not) will temporarily breakdown the skin barrier and dry out the skin, allowing for deeper penetration of nutrients and moisturizers after use. Drying the skin is seen as “unacceptable” for certain skin conditions,  but the drying aspect of toners is very easily solved. For instance, if you suffer from oily acne AND have drying eczema, you may use our toner, then simply follow with our tallow butter right after to prevent over-drying some areas.

• The only natural, non-greasy, skin-safe solvent to liquify the acne-fighting ingredient: salicylic acid.

• A naturally safe preservative and anti-microbial to fight acne-causing bacteria.
