Mop & Cleaning Water Recipe
Dry Powder Recipe (for washing machines)

Please refer to your washing machine’s manufacturer to confirm compatibility before use.
Mopping & Cleaning Water:
- Grate some soap (your desired amount) in a bucket of hot water.
- Mix well until soap is dissolved.
- Use the soapy water to clean surfaces with a washcloth or sponge, or as mop water.
Washing Powder Recipe:
- Grate 2 bars of soap with a cheese grater.
- Combine the grated soap with: 2 Cups sodium carbonate, 2 Cups sodium bicarbonate, and 2 Cups sodium tetraborate.
- If you want more scent, mix in your choice of scent in the amount desired.
- Use the same as regular powder detergents* – store in an airtight container. *Make sure to check with your washing machine’s manufacturer to confirm compatibility before use.
Washing Liquid Recipe:
- Grate 2 bars of soap with a cheese grater.
- Boil 4 cups of water in a pot with a fitting lid.
- Dissolve the grated soap into the boiling water, stirring occasionally.
- Combine the melted soap and water with: 1 Cup sodium borate, 1 Cup sodium carbonate, and 1 Cup sodium percarbonate.
- Add 2 gallons of hot water and mix until dissolved completely
- Pour this mixture into a 5 gallon container with a fitting lid.
- Top the container off with hot water, stirring occasionally.
- Wait 24 hours before use.
- If you want more scent, mix in your choice in the amount desired.
