Mop & Cleaning Water Recipe

Mopping & Cleaning Water:

1. Grate some soap (your desired amount) in a bucket of hot water.
2. Mix well until soap is dissolved.
3. Use the soapy water to clean surfaces with a washcloth or sponge, or as mop water.

Washing Powder Recipe:

1. Grate 2 bars of soap with a cheese grater.
2. Combine the grated soap with: 2 Cups sodium carbonate, 2 Cups sodium bicarbonate, and 2 Cups sodium tetraborate.
3. If you want more scent, mix in your choice of scent in the amount desired.
4. Use the same as regular powder detergents* – store in an airtight container. *Make sure to check with your washing machine’s manufacturer to confirm compatibility before use.

Washing Liquid Recipe:

1. Grate 2 bars of soap with a cheese grater.
2. Boil 4 cups of water in a pot with a fitting lid.
3. Dissolve the grated soap into the boiling water, stirring occasionally.
4. Combine the melted soap and water with: 1 Cup sodium borate, 1 Cup sodium carbonate, and 1 Cup sodium percarbonate.
5. Add 2 gallons of hot water and mix until dissolved completely
6. Pour this mixture into a 5 gallon container with a fitting lid.
7. Top the container off with hot water, stirring occasionally.
8. Wait 24 hours before use.
9. If you want more scent, mix in your choice in the amount desired.
10. Use the same as regular liquid detergents* – store in an airtight container. *Make sure to check with your washing machine’s manufacturer to confirm compatibility before use.
