How To Use Our Lotion Bars

INTRODUCTION: Our Lotion Bars are intended to help reduce the waste of plastic containers that are so often chosen for convenience with liquid lotions. This being said, it often takes more time and effort to use natural lotion bars, but it is well worth it in the end. Not only do you end up with moisturized and naturally nourished hair, you also end up with a cleaner environment!

Best used right after bathing while skin is still wet, so your lotion bar or stick glides on smooth like butter. If you apply it to dry skin, you will get a thicker consistency and you will have to spread it on more thoroughly. Applying it during the morning and allowing your skin to soak it in for 5 minutes before dressing will leave you with soft, moisturized skin all day long.

Tube Containers

If your compostable lotion tube has been pushed up too much, you can use the lid of the tube to gently push it back down. If the lid has became loose and keeps popping off, you can soak it for a second, careful not to let it sit in the water for too long ( a few seconds in plenty), then allow it to dry completely before putting it back on the tube.

Preferably, the bars and tubes should be stored in an area with good air flow and minimal surface contact.

We recommend our lotion tins or soap dishes for storing your lotion bar. You can find them here, https://perma-earth.com/product/soap-dish/ .

Do Lotion Bars Expire?

We recommend using your lotion bar within a year for best results. If the oils/fats inside start to go rancid it could smell “off” or develop spots.
