Raw, Pasture-Raised, Free-Range, Organic-Fed, Local Egg Yolk nourishes your hair with superfood benefits. Egg yolks have an abundance of healthy vitamins, necessary minerals, moisturizing fatty-acids, and hair-building proteins to give your hair everything it needs for success, a list so long that it would be hard to look at it all here. The humble yet time-honored chicken egg is loaded with healthy fats, which help replenish moisture and make strands look sleek and shiny. And because hair is 80% protein, applying protein-rich eggs to hair can help replace the protein lost through styling, making hair stronger and better able to stand up to heat. Some natural beauty proponents claim that applying egg yolks to the hair and scalp can stimulate hair growth. Egg yolk is rich in the vitamins that may make hair more resistant to damage. The yolk is especially useful to moisturize hair that appears dry. Egg yolks can nourish, strengthen and heal weak hair strands. If eggs can grow a whole baby chicken, then they can certainly help to grow your hair!
Raw, local, real honey – honored since ancient times as a priceless health food, as well as an irreplaceable ingredient for hair and skin care products. Honey has emollient (moisturizing) and humectant (moisture-drawing) properties that add hydration to the hair follicles. This naturally smooths the hair shaft and restores shine and luster to frizzy, dry, curly, or dull hair. Its natural humectant properties seal in moisture to prevent future moisture loss, which is also helpful for itchiness, dryness, and dandruff on the scalp.* Honey is a natural softener, which makes it a superpower ingredient in any hair elixir. Honey also naturally contains antioxidants and nutrients that improve your hair and scalp’s overall wellness, strengthening your hair and encouraging growth.* Honey is especially good for dry, curly, frizz-prone hair. Aside from moisturizing, honey also harbors anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties, which help fight the bacteria and fungus that cause dandruff. Using a honey formula on your hair and scalp can actually help clear scaling and itching when applied regularly.* Its extra-moisturizing nature must be taken into consideration by oily hair-types or hair that is weighed down easily – we absolutely do not skimp on this incredible ingredient used abundantly in this formula.
Derived from the seed kernel of the Avena sativa, or oat plant, oat oil is gaining popularity in hair products for its ability to provide dense nutrition with a lightweight consistency. Often aimed to reduce inflammation and provide soothing hydration, oat oil has many hair and skin uses. Many scalp conditions involve a combination of dryness and irritation, so it’s easy to see why oat oil is especially useful in these instances. Oat oil is a great hydrator and anti-inflammatory agent, its main benefits include soothing the scalp, hydrating the hair and scalp, and improving the elasticity of hair strands. In general, oat oil is great for curly, dry, coarse, frizzy, or damaged hair. Those with dry scalp conditions will also benefit from the nourishment and hydration of oat oil.
Pasture-Raised, Pure, Hand-Rendered USA Lard feeds your hair and skin extra-nourishing balanced fatty acids and the world’s highest Vitamin D3 content, second only to cod liver oil. Lard has been used in haircare since medieval times for hair growth and hair health management. Our lard is carefully hand-rendered to keep its precious rare nutrients in-tact.
Lard is the 2nd fat in the world that is highest is Vitamin D3, second only to cod liver oil! Vitamin D3 is the most bioavailable form of Vitamin D. Vitamin D delivers a myriad of health benefits, including supporting healthy, long hair. As it turns out, Vitamin D3 is involved in various signaling pathways in the hair follicle and has a direct (and critical) role in the hair growth (aka anagen) phase. Topical application of vitamin D3 has been shown to render protection against damage caused to the skin by UV light. Vitamin D reduces cell death, promotes cell survival, and reduces redness and inflammation.
Since pasture-raised lard is lighter and softer in texture, slightly higher in unsaturated fatty acids, and higher in certain nutrients like Vitamin D3 – it makes a perfect fat base in our shampoo soaps, conditioners, and hair oils.
Pasture-Raised, properly fed lard is low on the comedogenic scale: it will not clog pores nor cause inflammation, in fact it may help with those issues. Since it is slightly higher in unsaturated fatty acids, it provides a more bubbly lather and a squeakier clean.
Our Lard is:
Slowly and carefully hand-rendered in our facility from the farm-fresh raw source
NEVER bleached or ultra-processed for a “white look”

Local, Raw, Farm-Fresh, Grass-fed, Hand-Cultured Buttermilk to feed your hair the perfect food – high in essential vitamins, minerals, proteins, and fatty acids. Full-fat Jersey cow buttermilk is higher than goat milk in lactic acid and has the same moisturization content. The famously beautiful Egyptian Queen Cleopatra was a wise proponent, bathing in fresh buttermilk daily.
Buttermilk is high in multiple different proteins, vitamins, and minerals. Farm-fresh, raw buttermilk can have dozens of naturally occurring probiotics along with alpha-hydroxy acids like lactic acid, which promote cell renewal and rejuvenation of beauty factors such as brightness, tone, and complexion maintenance. Milk is considered a “complete protein” and “near-perfect food” meaning it contains all nine of the essential amino acids necessary for your body to function at an optimal level, plus all the essential Omega 3, 6, & 9 fatty acids in balanced proportions in addition to most of the vitamins and minerals your body needs. And buttermilk is even better! If raw milk can grow a baby calf into a cow within a few months, think of what it does to your hair!

When the farm-fresh raw buttermilk arrives in our facility, it is frozen and used first-in, first-out to ensure the best nutrient content

Phthalate-Free and Paraben-Free Fragrance Oils are included for a familiar and comforting scent. Did you know that most body care shoppers make their purchase decisions based solely on scent satisfaction? The olfactory system is directly related to emotions and memories, which is why scents are such an important factor for many. Please keep in mind that not including phthalates and parabens will reduce the scent hold, decreasing the linger time and strength compared to what many are used to with store-bought products.
