Most seasoned Perma-Earth shampoo soap users only need to wash and condition every other day or up to once a week, not every day (although if one needs to wash every day they certainly may do so).
Since our shampoo soaps nourish the hair so much better than regular shampoos, most people find they need to use LESS conditioner than they did prior. So, how many washes will a full bar or a half bar last you? Well, it depends!
Our HALF SIZE (1.75 oz round) conditioner bars last an average of 3 months (from 1-6 months depending on the individual). If you convert the HALF SIZE bar to liquid you will make over 16-18 ounces of liquid.
Double the above for the FULL SIZE (3.5 oz rectangular) bars.
For someone with long and thick hair using the product heavily every day, our FULL SIZE bar would last only about a month. It often takes 3-12 months for most users to get through a FULL SIZE conditioner bar depending on how often and how much they need to condition.
We recommend starting with the HALF SIZE bar.
For drier scalps or textured hair, you may use it all over your head to help with dandruff or other issues. Will not leave hair or scalp greasy looking if rinsed out well.
Do NOT place in direct heat or light as bar will melt. Do NOT let sit in water as bar will dissolve, remember to please read our directions.

A non-negotiable 3% handling fee which includes required shipping insurance is now automatically added to every order during checkout for coverage in cases of lost or damaged packages (please see full policies for all details on these processes). This is due to the fact that postal services have decreased in quality to the point of where we need to physically drive and drop off the packages at the counter to get a receipt for verification as the postal service no longer verifies over five (5) package pickups from any business throughout our state of Indiana (and in other states as well). The postal services are also now requiring the receiver to bring in entire damaged package for any item damage claims, handing them over to the postal service for further inspection. We feel this is unreasonable for all parties, so instead we can simply replace/refund those instances with these fees. Also if a package is finally ruled as lost (which has become more common everywhere) we will be able to replace/refund those with a swiftness that postal claim processes do not allow. We automatically cover any item that is damaged during transit with photo proof within 7 days of postal delivery confirmation on tracking. If a product is defective we will gladly refund or replace with your proof – this is up to our discretion according to our shop refund policies.
We gladly accept returns on any unused items within 30 days of purchase or delivery, in which the return costs must be covered by the customer and may be subject to a -10% restock fee. Please note that it is up to our discretion on whether or not the item is returned in acceptable condition: we will communicate with you if not to our standards when we receive the return(s). Any return shipping costs are covered by the customer if returning an unused and non-defective item. We cannot refund any shipping costs once the order has been shipped unless something happens to the package such as a damage or a loss. We are not liable for any unpaid customs fees, duty taxes, or postal rejections for international orders. If a package or item is returned to us in acceptable condition, we will issue a refund subject to a -10% restocking fee. All returns are refunded as store credit in the form of a coupon code sent to the email address associated with the order. We cannot accept online order exchanges with unused returns.
You may cancel your order in your account orders before the order has been processed to ship and before 24 hours from time of order. Please note that it can take us only minutes to pull, pack, and ship your order during peak business hours if we are not backed up. We offer scent strength and intensity on the details of every product’s listing online. Please do not purchase a product described as medium-to-strong scented if you are known to be sensitive to stronger scents. Please do not purchase a scent that is described as light-to-medium if you only want a strong scent. We are not able to process refunds on used products based solely on scent dissatisfaction. Even 100% natural products with light amount of scent can cause sensitivity in some users.

Undetermined – this product is very shelf-stable and can last a few years from manufacture date (on price tag) before going rancid as long as it is stored in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
Please do not attempt to refrigerate to preserve as this can hasten expiry with condensation once thawed.
We do recommend using within 1 year of purchase for best results, as scents and contents do fade and break down over time.

Please refrain from purchasing our conditioner bars until your weather temperatures reach below 100°F/38°C as your conditioner bar could MELT slightly during transit if exposed to above these temperatures. Please watch your tracking information and try to grab your shipment from your mailbox as soon as you can.
We usually have problems with conditioner bars melting slightly between June-August months in Southern USA states.
Best remedy: stock up during the cooler spring/fall/winter seasons!!
Different (but not guaranteed ways) to prevent melting in hot temperatures are these options:
- Select “Sign for Delivery” service during checkout for a fee.
- A FREE option is to add in your order notes special instructions for the postal carrier to follow when delivering your package. **PLEASE NOTE that your carrier may or may not see or follow these instructions!!** These instructions will show on the shipping label in bold large lettering below the tracking barcode (in 78 characters or less).
- One instruction is to have a cooler with icepacks and a water-proof container inside the cooler to place the package into. “PLEASE PLACE PACKAGE INSIDE BAG IN COOLER ON FRONT PORCH” – would be an example of an acceptable label instruction within the correct length of characters (up to 78 including spaces).
- Another instruction would be – “PLEASE LEAVE WITH APARTMENT MANAGER IN FRONT OFFICE.” This is another example of acceptable length so it doesn’t sit in a hot outdoor mail box.
Waiting to stock up when temperatures are below 100°F/38°C is often the best choice to insure your conditioners do not melt.

About BTMS: For the conditioning effects most of us are used to with commercial conditioners, this is the most natural way for us to achieve this effect! If you would like to avoid this ingredient, you may apply our hair oil treatment before shampooing (hair oils by themselves can be too heavy to leave in for some hair types). You may also use an herbal hair tea, apple cider vinegar rinse or witch hazel rinse after shampooing. Please note that the natural options will not feel or perform like our conditioners.
