Babassu Oil

Babassu oil is a tropical oil made from the seeds of the babassu tree, which is native to the rain forests of South America. We use certified organic Babassu Oil to provide our shampoo soaps with an extra foamy lather to build mounds of thick bubbles. This makes cleansing your hair an easy task without using pore-clogging and heavier conventional palm or coconut oils. Babassu oil also helps maintain the hardness of your shampoo soap while in use and makes the bar last as long as possible in wet environments.

Packed with antioxidants and healthy fats, it can boost the health of your skin and hair, moisturizing them without causing you to feel greasy or develop acne. We use certified organic babassu oil in every shampoo, body, and shave soap. Babassu oil is antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and moisturizing which makes it a wonderful ingredient to have in our all-in-one soaps that are used on the full body. Lauric acid is present in babassu oil, which has anti-inflammatory and antifungal properties which can help to prevent flakiness and dandruff. Babassu oil contains a high amount of vitamin E and other antioxidants which help the scalp and hair repair damage from everyday toxins and stressors. Babassu oil can be volumizing for the hair and locals in Brazil rave that it heals minor wounds! Babassu oil by itself is also edible and a lightweight, healthier substitution for coconut oil.

We use certified organic babassu oil in all of our shampoo soaps.
