Argan Oil

Argan oil, or also known as “liquid gold,” is made from the fresh kernels of the fruit of the argan tree [Argania spinosa] in Morocco. Most people know the tree by a popular photograph of goats climbing the Argan tree, which truly happens quite a bit! Argan oil has been used for centuries for cooking and as a home remedy for health and beauty, including hair loss.

These days Argan oil is mostly used as a moisturizer for skin and hair because it is full of beneficial fatty acids, mainly oleic acid and linoleic acid, which are essential fatty acids. Argan oil is also rich in vitamin E, which provides a layer to your hair and scalp that may help prevent dryness and reduce frizz, boost shine, and maintain moisture. The fatty acids in argan oil have a protective effect that can help prevent damage from washing and styling.

Oils that are rich in linoleic acid, oleic acid, and palmitic acid can help strengthen hair and protect it from combing, styling or heat damage. Studies also suggest that using argan oil can help strengthen hair and repair split ends, which is why this is a great addition to our conditioner bars. Argan oil helps to promote shine, smoothness, definition, hydration, elasticity, softness, and can add more manageability to your hair care routine.

We use certified organic argan oil in our conditioner bars, conditioning spray, and hair oil.
